Brief DescriptionExperience  - 7+ years Location - Remote (night shift) Position Overview The IT Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting the sales cycle by providing technical expertise, solution design, and strategic guidance to prospective clients. This role bridges the gap between customer needs and technology capabilities, working closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to deliver compelling, accurate, and scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Discovery & Client Engagement

Conduct client discovery sessions to understand business objectives, technical requirements, and current infrastructure. Translate client needs into well-defined technical requirements. Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (POCs).

  1. Solution Architecture & Design

Develop technical proposals, solution diagrams, architecture documents, and bill of materials (BOM). Design end-to-end IT solutions across areas such as cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), networking, security, applications, SaaS platforms, and integrations. Ensure solutions meet scalability, security, compliance, and performance standards.

  1. Sales Support & Enablement

Collaborate with the sales team to craft winning proposals, RFP responses, and pricing strategies. Participate in pre-sales meetings, pitch sessions, and technical Q&A with customers. Assist with the creation of sales tools: presentations, case studies, and competitive analyses.

  1. Proof-of-Concepts & Pilot Management

Lead POCs, pilot deployments, and product evaluations. Configure demo environments to showcase capabilities tailored to client requirements. Document outcomes, risks, and recommendations.

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with product and engineering teams to validate technical feasibility and provide customer feedback. Partner with customer success teams to ensure successful handoff post-sale. Stay updated on product roadmaps, new features, and industry trends.

  1. Technical Expertise & Continuous Improvement

Maintain deep knowledge in relevant technology domains and emerging solutions. Provide training to sales teams on technical aspects and competitive differentiators. Contribute to internal knowledge bases and solution frameworks. Preferred SkillsQualifications Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. 3–7 years of experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical consulting. Strong understanding of cloud computing, networking, security, APIs, and modern IT architectures. Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience designing and presenting technical solutions to enterprise clients. 

Preferred

Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent. Experience with SaaS platforms, DevOps tools, integration frameworks, and enterprise applications. Background in RFP/RFI processes and proposal creation. Experience with CRM or ticketing systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Freshdesk, etc.).
