QA Automation Engineer

Brief DescriptionJob Summary: We are looking for a strong Automation QA Engineer with hands-on expertise in building and maintaining robust test automation frameworks using BDD with Cucumber. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade automation frameworks using Cucumber (Java/Python/Ruby) with BDD (Gherkin) best practices. Implement end-to-end, API, and UI automation test suites that are reliable, maintainable, and scalable. Integrate automation suites seamlessly into Jenkins pipelines (parameterized jobs, parallel execution, pipeline-as-code, reporting plugins). Own test planning, script development, execution, and defect reporting in Agile/Scrum environments. Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to embed shift-left testing and improve test coverage. Set up and manage test data, test environments, and result dashboards (ExtentReports, Allure, Cucumber Reports). Perform code reviews of automation scripts and mentor junior team members on BDD practices. 6–7 years of hands-on experience in test automation Minimum 4+ years building and leading automation frameworks using Cucumber (BDD) – strong Gherkin writing skills are mandatory Expert-level knowledge of Jenkins – creating and managing complex pipelines, Jenkinsfile (Declarative/Scripted), plugins (Pipeline, Cucumber Reports, Slack, Git, etc.) Strong programming skills in Java (Java preferred for Selenium + Cucumber). Expertise in Selenium WebDriver with Page Object Model / Screenplay pattern Solid experience in API testing using RestAssured / Karate / Cucumber Excellent understanding of CI/CD concepts and integrating tests into build pipelines Experience with version control (Git), Maven/Gradle, and TestNG/JUnit Proven ability to achieve 80%+ automation coverage on large projects.
