Team Lead – Backend Developer (Node.js)

Brief Description      We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Backend Team Lead with extensive experience in Node.js, microservices, and database management. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of professional development experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role, and will be responsible for leading a backend engineering team to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications. This role involves hands-on coding, team mentoring, architectural decision-making, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions. Leadership & Team Management

Lead, mentor, and guide a team of backend developers to ensure high-quality deliverables.       Define and enforce backend development best practices, coding standards, and architecture guidelines.       Collaborate with product managers, architects, and frontend teams to design and deliver robust solutions.       Conduct regular code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to performance and security standards.       Drive team productivity through agile practices, clear planning, and effective communication.

Technical Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and maintain backend systems and RESTful microservices using Node.js.     Work with MongoDB and Cassandra databases to design efficient, scalable, and reliable data models.       Ensure robust integrations with frontend applications (React.js and others) and third-party services.       Manage and optimize application deployments using Microsoft Azure cloud services.       Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, automating builds, testing, and deployments.       Ensure proper use of Git-based workflows for collaborative development and release management.     Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the backend ecosystem.       Stay up-to-date with emerging backend technologies, tools, and practices to continuously improve processes.

Additional Advantage

Participate in projects involving AI/ML or Computer Vision-based applications, contributing backend expertise. Preferred Skills 8+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack application development with strong expertise in Node.js. At least 3+ years in a leadership or technical head role, managing engineering teams and projects. Solid experience in MongoDB and Cassandra databases. Proven expertise in designing and building RESTful microservices at scale. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud environments. Proficiency in Git and modern collaborative development workflows. Hands-on experience with Jenkins pipelines and automated CI/CD processes. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Experience or exposure to AI/ML or Computer Vision-based applications is a strong plus.
