Brief DescriptionBusiness Development TraineeLocation: Trivandrum Role Overview The Business Development Trainee will support the company’s growth through lead generation, market research, sales activities and client engagement. This role requires strong communication skills, an interest in sales & marketing, and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships. The trainee will work closely with cross-functional teams to contribute to revenue growth and business expansion. Key Responsibilities
Generate and qualify leads through calls, emails and outreach. Support sales activities, including product demos, presentations and meeting sales targets. Assist in basic marketing tasks such as campaigns, content support and market research. Prepare proposals, presentations and business pitches. Maintain client relationships and follow up on inquiries. Track competitor activities and industry trends. Update CRM, prepare sales reports and support internal coordination.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree (completed or pursuing) in Business, Marketing, Management or related field. Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Basic understanding of sales cycle, marketing concepts and customer engagement. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills. Quick learner with a strong passion for sales and business development. Prior internship/project experience in sales, marketing or customer-facing roles is an advantage.
