Brief DescriptionJob Overview We are looking for an experienced and proactive QA Team Lead to drive quality assurance efforts across multiple projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of QA best practices, Agile methodology, and hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing. The role requires a balance of individual contribution, cross-team coordination, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and priorities. Experience in the healthcare domain or hospital applications is a strong plus. Core Responsibilities • Lead and manage QA activities across multiple projects and domains • Contribute hands-on to testing activities when needed on core, critical, or fast-paced projects • Define and enforce QA standards, processes, and best practices across teams • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure complete test coverage • Plan, estimate, and track QA efforts across sprints and releases • Work in Agile environments and actively participate in ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives • Independently create, execute, and review test cases (manual and automated) • Mentor and support team members; help resolve blockers and technical challenges • Oversee defect tracking, risk management, and issue resolution with development teams • Prepare and deliver test reports, metrics, and quality dashboards to stakeholders • Ensure test assets and deliverables are maintained in test management tools • Ensure compliance with organizational QA policies and regulatory standards (especially in healthcare) Preferred SkillsMust-Have Skills and Experience • 6+ years of QA experience, with minimum 2 years in a QA leadership role • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test strategy, test planning, and defect management • Experience working both independently and within a team setting • Proficient in writing clear and reusable test cases and test scenarios • Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies and associated tools/practices • Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Quality Center/ALM, TestRail) • Promote and lead QA performance improvement initiatives (process optimization, tool adoption, test effectiveness, etc.) • Good understanding of test estimation techniques, risk-based testing, and test planning • Experience reviewing test cases, automation scripts, and ensuring best practices are followed • Strong communication skills with experience coordinating across QA, development, and business teams • Proven ability to lead and mentor QA teams • Experience working as an individual contributor on test design and execution (manual and/or automation) Desirable Skills (Good to Have) • Experience in the healthcare domain, especially working on HIS, EMR/EHR, or other clinical systems • Exposure to healthcare compliance standards • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver (Java/TestNG), UFT/QTP, or TestComplete • Familiarity with API testing (e.g., Postman), SQL for backend testing • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and version control tools like Git • ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
