Senior Software Engineer (PHP / Node Js)

Brief DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in PHP and Node.js to join our development team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, RESTful APIs, and backend systems. You will collaborate closely with product managers, front-end developers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality, efficient, and maintainable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using PHP (Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony) and Node.js (Express.js, NestJS).

Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Integrate third-party services and APIs as required.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.

Perform code reviews, unit testing, and participate in the CI/CD process.

Work with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) for efficient data modeling and management.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance and scalability issues.

Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the existing stack.

Support deployment and post-release monitoring of applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using PHP / Node.js.

Strong experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony.

Proficiency in Node.js frameworks like Express.js or NestJS.

Solid understanding of OOP, MVC architecture, RESTful API design, and microservices.

Experience with databases – MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or NoSQL (MongoDB).

Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React/Vue/Angular) is a plus.

Experience in Git-based version control and Agile/Scrum development.

Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment.

Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using PHP / Node.js.
