Job title : Platform Engineer (Support)Location :  Trivandrum (Hybrid) Experience : 1-3 years Roles & Responsibilities : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will actively contribute to design, implement, and maintain data solutions for clients. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration skills. We are especially interested in individuals who are self-motivated, adaptable and have a proactive approach to problem-solving, and possess the ability to work efficiently in diverse client environments with varying data challenges. ● Provide support for GCP managed infrastructure services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Networking, and other cloud resources.● Monitor and respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests from clients or internal teams.● Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, including VM failures, networkconnectivity, storage access, and service API errors.● Work closely with support, engineering, and cloud architects to escalate and resolve complex problems.● Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident reviews.● Assist in automation and scripting to streamline support processes (using tools like Terraform, gcloud CLI, Python, or Bash).● Manage GCP IAM policies, quotas, billing alerts, and resource provisioning Platform Engineer (Managed Services) issues.● Maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles related to GCP infrastructure support.● Understands Compute, Network, Storage, Databases, Containers, DevOps, Security Operations, Kubernetes, Micro-services on public cloud platforms● Support onboarding and migration activities for new customers or workloads on GCP.Preferred SkillsTechnical Skills● Must have 1+ years experience in provisioning infrastructure as a service cloud computing for cloud platforms. Exposure to GCP is preferable.● Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring.● Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts including networking (VPC, VPN, firewall rules), storage, and compute resources.● Experience with incident management tools and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).● Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.● Strong troubleshooting skills for cloud infrastructure issues.● Familiarity with Linux system administration and command-line tools.● Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation.● Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.● Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must. ● He/She will be open to work in a 24x7 model to ensure all the services arebeing delivered within SLAs.
