Brief DescriptionThe Pre-Sales Network Engineer will play a key role in supporting the sales team by providing technical expertise, designing networking solutions, and ensuring that proposed solutions meet customer requirements. The candidate will work closely with clients to understand their IT infrastructure needs, recommend suitable networking products, and assist in closing deals through strong technical presentations and demonstrations. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Sales team to identify customer requirements and propose suitable networking solutions.
Design, configure, and present IT networking solutions (Routing, Switching, Wireless, Network Security, SDN, etc.).
Prepare technical proposals, network diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Participate in pre-sales activities such as customer meetings, RFI/RFP responses, and Proof of Concepts (PoC).
Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers.
Provide consultation and technical guidance to customers throughout the pre-sales cycle.
Stay updated with the latest networking technologies, vendor offerings, and industry trends.
Coordinate with internal product and engineering teams to communicate customer needs and feedback.
Train and support the sales team with technical knowledge and solution insights.
Preferred SkillsTechnical Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in Pre-Sales, Network Engineering, or Solution Design roles.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP), Switching, VLANs, VPNs, QoS, and SDN concepts.
Hands-on experience with networking products (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Arista, etc.).
Basic knowledge of network security (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Zero Trust).
Ability to create solution documentation – diagrams, proposals, and presentations.
Preferred Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent professional certifications.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Customer-focused with a consultative approach.
Ability to work collaboratively with Sales and Technical teams.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
