IIS Administrator

IIS Administrator We are seeking an experienced IIS Administrator responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) web servers. The ideal candidate will ensure the high availability, performance, and security of web-based applications

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft IIS 8/10 on Windows Server environments. Manage and monitor websites, application pools, and virtual directories. Configure SSL certificates, HTTPS bindings, and ensure secure communication. Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (Windows, Basic, Forms, etc.). Collaborate with development teams to deploy ASP.NET and other web applications. Monitor server health, performance, and uptime; troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues. Perform log analysis, and monitor traffic and error logs using tools like Event Viewer, Log Parser, or third-party monitoring tools. Maintain server backups and recovery plans to ensure business continuity. Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or batch scripting. Apply patches and security updates to servers and IIS configurations. Document configurations, deployment processes, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of hands-on experience with IIS (Internet Information Services) administration.
2. Proficiency with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
3. Strong knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, and network protocols.
4. Experience with SSL/TLS, HTTPS, and certificate management.
5. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting.
6. Basic understanding of .NET applications, web.config files, and deployment pipelines.
7. Ability to troubleshoot application errors and collaborate with developers and DevOps teams.
8. Knowledge of load balancing, reverse proxy, or web farms is a plus.
9. Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) is an advantage.
10. Candidates with the following Microsoft certifications will be preferred, as they demonstrate the required skills for the role:

AZ-800 Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure AZ-801 – Configuring Windows Server Hybrid Advanced Services AZ-104 – Microsoft Azure Administrator

Qualification: Any Graduate / Any Post Graduate. Experience: 3-4 years. Location: Kochi, Navi Mumbai, Thrissur.
