Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Job Description:

Seniority & Autonomy The selected candidate will be expected to (mostly) independently lead the FP&A function — owning modelling, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and KPI tracking without specialized/senior FP&A oversight. This person will work directly with me (CFO) and collaborate across other departments (as needed). We’re looking for someone proactive, analytical, and comfortable working directly with me. Tools & Technical Stack Strong proficiency in Excel (including macros and scenario modelling) is key.

Power BI and Power Query are strongly preferred.
Familiarity with FP&A software/tools is an asset, but not mandatory.
Comfort working within QuickBooks Online is required.
Basic scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, SQL, or VBA) would be advantageous.

SaaS & Subscription Focus This role is centred around a SaaS / recurring-revenue business model. Ideal candidates should already understand or be able to quickly adapt to key concepts, including ARR, MRR, churn, LTV, CAC, and ARPU. Candidates from manufacturing, shared services, or banking are less relevant unless they’ve worked with subscription-based analytics. Working Hours & Collaboration Will the candidates be able to work EST (or mostly)? I’m flexible with trusted and high-performing people.
