Java Architect / Technical Lead

Brief DescriptionDeviceDriven is contributing engineering expertise to a major fintech-led digital transformation initiative focused on modernizing a global-scale transaction and engagement platform.The platform powers millions of secure, real-time transactions across ecosystems such as travel, retail, and digital assets — delivering data-driven, scalable, and frictionless experiences for consumers and enterprise partners. Built on the foundations of cloud-native architecture, microservices, and AI-powered intelligence, the program aims to redefine how next-generation financial and digital platforms operate at scale. What You’ll Work On You’ll join a high-impact engineering team responsible for:

Re-architecting and enhancing core transaction modules — including payment flows, partner integrations, and data processing pipelines. Building AI-assisted APIs for personalization, fraud prevention, and dynamic decisioning. Leveraging cloud platforms for scalable compute, messaging, analytics, and data infrastructure. Using Generative AI tools (OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) to accelerate development and improve quality. Implementing real-time observability and insights systems to surface intelligence across partners, customers, and transactions. Preferred SkillsRequired Experience 15+ years (3+ years in solution architecture or technical leadership) 🔹 Core Responsibilities

Define, evolve, and govern system architecture, microservice decomposition, API standards, and data strategy Lead design reviews, scalability assessments, and cost optimization across distributed systems Architect and validate multi-region cloud deployments ensuring reliability and compliance Introduce and standardize AI-assisted workflows (Codex, Copilot, Claude) for development acceleration and code consistency Collaborate with product, data, and infrastructure teams to align architecture with business goals Mentor developers and senior engineers, establish code and design quality benchmarks Guide integration with analytics and BI frameworks, enabling better observability and reporting

🧩 Technical Expertise

Core Stack: Java 11+/17, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST APIs, GraphQL Cloud: AWS and GCP. Familiarity with various services like ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, IAM, Secrets Manager, EventBridge etc Messaging & Integration: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS/SNS, gRPC, RESTful contracts DevOps & Tooling: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, SonarQube Observability: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/CloudWatch dashboards, log correlation AI & GenAI: OpenAI APIs (prompt engineering, code generation, summarization), GitHub Copilot, Amazon Bedrock for automation Analytics & Reporting: AWS QuickSight, Athena, Redshift, Data Lake design, real-time data pipelines Security & Governance: OAuth2, JWT, AWS KMS, WAF, secrets management, compliance in cloud
