Brief DescriptionAs a Product Owner, you will define the vision and roadmap, acting as the bridge between stakeholders and engineering. You’ll ensure solutions are technically sound, user-focused, and impactful. Working with product managers, engineers, designers, and clients, you’ll turn business needs into intuitive, scalable product experiences. Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and engineering, aligning objectives and deliverables. Own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing features, enhancements, and technical debt. Lead requirements gathering and translate needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning, refinements, reviews, and retrospectives. Refine and decompose backlog items with engineers, providing timely clarification and estimates. Partner with UX/UI to design intuitive and accessible product experiences. Demonstrate sprint deliverables, capture feedback, and adjust priorities as needed. Track and analyze product metrics and user feedback to inform backlog decisions. Communicate updates, changes, and progress clearly to all stakeholders. Maintain and distribute release notes after each sprint to ensure transparency. Proactively identify, triage, and resolve issues to keep delivery on track. Share customer and market insights with the team to guide product decisions. Remove roadblocks and drive consensus across stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as FERPA, accessibility, and LMS integrations. Champion the voice of the customer to ensure all work delivers measurable value. Preferred Skills 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar product role, ideally in SaaS. Hands-on experience working directly with software engineers in an Agile development environment. Strong knowledge of the Scrum framework with proven experience in story mapping and writing clear acceptance criteria. Ability to triage and resolve issues quickly, including leading incident investigations when needed. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Effective listener and influencer who builds strong partnerships and drives alignment on priorities. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and user feedback to inform backlog decisions. Comfortable working in a startup or fast-paced environment with a willingness to be hands-on. Experience in EdTech is an added advantage. Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence. Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools to support data-driven decisions. Strong conflict resolution and consensus-building skills to align diverse stakeholders. High level of empathy for users and attention to detail in defining backlog items. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain team focus under pressure. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; CSPO or PSPO certification is a plus.
