Brief DescriptionJob Title: Senior .NET Backend Developer Department: Product Development / TechnologyLocation: On-siteExperience: 10+ yearsEmployment Type: Full time Notice Period: Immediate Joiner About the Role Polus Solutions is looking for a highly experienced Senior .NET Backend Developer with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and enterprise-grade backend systems. This role requires strong technical leadership and hands-on development capabilities. Experience in the travel and booking domain is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C# and .NET Core / .NET Framework. Develop, review, and optimize complex stored procedures, triggers, views, and SQL queries in Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL). Build and integrate RESTful APIs and Web Services. Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable backend systems. Collaborate closely with front-end developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and business analysts to ensure seamless delivery. Perform code reviews, write unit tests, and create supporting documentation. Diagnose and resolve backend performance issues and database-level inefficiencies. Implement robust data integrity, backup, and disaster recovery practices. Manage code using Git or similar version control tools. Work within Agile/Scrum-based project teams to meet sprint objectives. Preferred Skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. 10+ years of professional experience in backend development using C#, .NET Core, and/or .NET Framework. Advanced hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including performance tuning, indexing, normalization, and query optimization. Proficient in Entity Framework / ADO.NET. Strong experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices. Solid understanding of software design patterns and principles (SOLID, DRY, etc.). Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as NUnit or MSTest. Hands-on experience with Git for version control. Exposure to Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines is a strong advantage. Knowledge of messaging queues like RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus is a plus. Sound understanding of backend and database security standards. Preferred: Prior experience in building or supporting travel and booking websites or platforms.
