R&D Manager – Software Development

Brief DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and motivated R&D Manager to lead and grow a high-performing software development team. This role is central to realizing our product strategy and advancing our technological ambitions. As R&D Manager, you will ensure effective execution of development initiatives, foster a strong engineering culture, and drive cross-functional collaboration across the company.   Location:  TrivandrumExperience – 9 to 12 yearsDepartment: Research & Development Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of software developers, ensuring alignment with company goals and product strategy. Build and maintain an inclusive, high-performing development team through mentoring, skills development, and performance management. Oversee the execution of software development projects, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to project timelines. Facilitate agile practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Drive continuous improvement through adoption of DevOps practices and agile methodologies. Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of R&D efforts into the broader organization. Monitor key R&D metrics and adjust plans to meet strategic goals. Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.

  Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

 Preferred Skills Minimum 9 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role. Strong understanding of R&D processes and software development life cycles, preferably in a DevOps or agile environment. Preferred experience in .Net along with hands-on experience in Microsoft/Azure. Proven expertise in managing end-to-end R&D processes and a deep understanding of software development life cycles. Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering quality outcomes on time. Excellent communication skills in English and a proactive attitude.
