The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in designing and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks, with strong hands-on skills in Core Java, Selenium WebDriver, and REST API testing using Rest Assured. This role calls for a strategic thinker with the ability to transform complex business requirements into robust testing strategies, while working collaboratively across teams. A blend of technical acumen, strong communication, and a solution-oriented mindset will be essential for success.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective test strategies based on complex business requirements and translate them into well-structured test plans.

Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks using Java technologies.

Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA team members to embed quality throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Conduct comprehensive end-to-end functional testing to ensure coverage, accuracy, and alignment with product expectations.

Create and execute automation scripts for both web and API testing using Selenium WebDriver and Rest Assured.

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to enable continuous testing and faster deployment cycles.

Monitor, debug, and optimize automated test runs, ensuring timely and reliable feedback during development.

Maintain high standards for test case design, automation code quality, and documentation to ensure long-term test effectiveness and maintainability.

Analyze test outcomes, identify issues, and collaborate with developers for quick and effective defect resolution.

Preferred Skills

5+ years of experience in test automation using Java.

Strong knowledge of Core Java, including object-oriented principles, exception handling, multi-threading, and file handling.

Proficiency in Java Collections (Lists, Sets, Maps, Queues) and solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.

Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, including dynamic element handling, custom wait strategies, and cross-browser compatibility.

Proficient in REST API testing using Rest Assured, covering request modeling, authentication, and API validation.

Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools for test suite integration and automation pipeline maintenance.

Familiarity with load and performance testing tools such as JMeter, K6, or Locust, with the ability to identify performance bottlenecks and suggest improvements.

Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
