This role goes far beyond basic proofreading—you will serve as the final gatekeeper of quality, ensuring that all published content is accurate, SEO-compliant, trustworthy, and aligned with brand standards. In this position, you’ll conduct in-depth manual reviews to detect low-quality or AI-generated content and ensure full compliance with Google’s EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) framework and SEO best practices.

Key Responsibilities Content Integrity Reviews

Perform manual audits of articles, blogs, and landing pages to check for grammar, tone, clarity, and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines.

Identify and correct awkward phrasing, factual inaccuracies, and formatting inconsistencies to uphold editorial standards.

SEO & Content Quality Assessment

Verify on-page SEO elements including meta tags, headers, internal linking, and keyword usage for both effectiveness and compliance.

Evaluate content for depth, usefulness, and relevance, flagging material that lacks actionable value or user-centric insights.

AI-Generated & Plagiarism Detection

Use a mix of manual techniques and automated tools to detect AI-generated or machine-written content.

Conduct plagiarism checks to ensure content originality and protect the brand's integrity.

EEAT Compliance Verification

Confirm the credentials of content authors and validate the credibility of cited sources.

Ensure content demonstrates expertise, authority, and trust, particularly for YMYL (Your Money Your Life) topics.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

Maintain and refine QA checklists, workflows, and review criteria to align with industry standards and evolving best practices.

Offer constructive feedback to writers and editors, promoting a culture of continuous learning and editorial excellence.

Preferred SkillsRequirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in content quality assurance, editing, or SEO

Exceptional manual editing skills with strong attention to detail

Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and Google’s content quality guidelines

Proven ability to identify AI-generated content and assess it for human readability

Proficient in using tools such as Grammarly, Copyscape, Copyleaks, Originality.ai, or similar alternatives

Skilled at identifying low-value or thin content and providing actionable improvement recommendations

Comfortable operating in a high-volume, fast-paced content production environment

Nice to Have

Educational or professional background in journalism, digital marketing, or technical writing

Experience working with content management systems like WordPress

Familiarity with structured data, Yoast SEO plugin, and content scoring tools

Understanding of content compliance processes and fact-checking workflows
