The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in designing and maintaining robust test automation frameworks, with strong hands-on expertise in Core Java, Selenium WebDriver, and REST API testing using Rest Assured. This role demands a strategic thinker who can translate complex business requirements into scalable test strategies, while working closely with cross-functional teams. A combination of technical depth, effective communication, and a solution-oriented mindset will be critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Translate complex business requirements into effective test strategies and create comprehensive test plans.

Design, build, and maintain reusable and scalable test automation frameworks using Java.

Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and QA peers to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

Perform thorough end-to-end functional testing, ensuring broad coverage, high reliability, and alignment with business goals.

Develop and execute automation scripts for both web and API layers using Selenium WebDriver and Rest Assured.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to enable continuous testing and accelerate release cycles.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize test executions, ensuring quick and reliable feedback during development cycles.

Maintain high standards in test case design, automation code quality, and overall QA documentation.

Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure efficient resolution.

 Preferred Skills

5+ years of experience in test automation using Java.

Strong knowledge of Core Java, including object-oriented principles, exception handling, multi-threading, and file handling.

Proficiency in Java Collections (Lists, Sets, Maps, Queues) and solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.

Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, including dynamic element handling, custom wait strategies, and cross-browser compatibility.

Proficient in REST API testing using Rest Assured, covering request modeling, authentication, and API validation.

Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools for test suite integration and automation pipeline maintenance.

Familiarity with load and performance testing tools such as JMeter, K6, or Locust, with the ability to identify performance bottlenecks and suggest improvements.

Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
