Junior Azure APIM Specialist

Brief DescriptionAbout the Role: We are looking for a Junior Azure API Management (APIM) Specialist with a strong foundation in .NET development and hands-on experience in Azure services. This is a great opportunity for early-career professionals to gain experience in designing, deploying, and managing APIs in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.   Experience Required: 1 to 4 years (Junior-Level Position) Location: Remote (Preference for candidates based in Kerala, able to travel to our Trivandrum office on short notice if required)

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and maintain APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).

Contribute to the full API lifecycle—design, implementation, testing, deployment, and versioning.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs with web applications and backend services developed in .NET.

Monitor API performance and contribute to tuning and optimization activities.

Apply basic API security principles including API key handling, OAuth, and role-based access control.

Work with Azure DevOps for code integration and automated deployments.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in C# / .NET Core.

Use SQL for interacting with databases and supporting data-driven services.

Preferred SkillsRequired Skills and Qualifications:

1–4 years of professional experience in application development.

At least 1 year of hands-on experience in Azure API Management (APIM).

Strong programming skills in .NET / .NET Core / C#.

Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.

Good understanding of RESTful API design and backend integration patterns.

Proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational database concepts.

Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred (Good to Have):

Exposure to Azure Logic Apps, Functions, and Data Factory.

Familiarity with API security concepts such as JWT, OAuth2, and rate limiting.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
