Oracle DBA with WebLogic Experience Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in WebLogic, Forms, and Reports configuration. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration and management, with a solid understanding of database optimization, space management, and troubleshooting. A strong knowledge of Linux as the operating system and excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
•Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. •Configure and manage WebLogic servers, along with Forms and Reports, to support business applications. •Perform routine database optimization, tuning, and maintenance tasks to ensure efficient data processing and storage. •Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply fixes to ensure smooth operation. •Implement and manage backup, recovery, and data archiving strategies to protect critical data. •Carry out space management tasks, including monitoring and forecasting storage requirements. •Work closely with development and application teams to support and deploy new solutions. •Perform regular database patching and updates to keep systems secure and up to date. •Ensure compliance with database security standards and company policies. •Provide technical guidance and support to other team members when needed.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., OCP, Oracle WebLogic Server Certified Administrator) are a plus. •Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle database administration and management. •Proven experience with WebLogic server configuration, including Forms and Reports setup. •Strong knowledge of database optimization techniques, including indexing, partitioning, and query tuning. •Proficiency in space management, including data file management and capacity planning. •Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve database issues. •Experience working with Linux OS, including shell scripting and system administration tasks. •Familiarity with backup and recovery tools such as RMAN, Data Pump, and other Oracle utilities. •Understanding of security best practices, including user management, data encryption, and auditing. •Oracle certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional - OCP) is an advantage.

•Database uptime and availability, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions. •Efficient resolution of database-related issues, measured by response and resolution time. •Successful implementation of database optimization and tuning initiatives. •Effective space management, ensuring optimal storage utilization and planning. •Timely execution of database backups, recovery procedures, and system updates. •Compliance with security protocols, ensuring data protection and integrity. •Consistent performance and reliability of WebLogic configurations, Forms, and Reports.
