CMS Developer Experience : 4+ Years | Work Location : Kochi

What we're looking for

We seek a CMS Developer well versed in multiple CMS platforms, with an in-depth understanding of CMS concepts, features & benefits; with a knack for crafting seamless and user-friendly Content Management Systems. This role demands a blend of technical skills in the Back-End & Front-End development along with a keen eye for design, UX/UI integrations, and an expertise in CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, Craft etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high coding standards and adhere to the defined/established Architectural guidelines.
• Extend the CMS platform’s functionality through custom development or REST API connections.
• Demonstrate excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills.
• Optimise website/application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Own the overall quality of the deliverables.
• Work with minimal support on complex & challenging tasks.
• Suggest process improvements to the Team Lead in a continuous improvement manner.
• Adhere to the defined process, policies & SOPs.
• Be a great Team player who will have proactive communications to resolve dependencies within & outside the Development department & the project teams.
• Engage in conversations that are objective & data-driven and be able to put the quality of the deliverables as the topmost priority.
• Mentor (Technical guidance & Support) junior developers in the team.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years experience in WordPress, Shopify, Craft CMS Development, with exposure in creating Themes & plugins, and extending core functionality.
• Extensive experience in Front-end and Back-end development of CMS technologies.
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, RWD, etc.
• Expertise in WordPress/CMS multisite architecture, Custom plugin development.
• Strong knowledge in popular page builders such as Elementor, Beaver Builder, or Divi.
• Good knowledge in headless CMS architecture.
• Knowledge of interacting with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and formats (JSON, XML)
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
• Good understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.
• Extensive experience in Accessibility (WCAG 2.0+, WCAG 3, UAAG, ARIA, etc.).
• Passion to improve efficiency of your work.
• Strong organising skills and ability to strictly adhere the process in a disciplined manner.
• Must be an enthusiast with a go-for-it attitude.
• Have an urge to collaborate and communicate asynchronously.
• Can balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of HubSpot CMS and Drupal.
• Experience in building custom Gutenberg block/block pattern development.
• Experience with Google Analytics and HubSpot Analytics.
• Experience with WordPress security best practices and familiarity with WordPress code standards and guidelines.
