Automobile Electrical Design Engineer (Wiring Looms Design)

Brief DescriptionWe are seeking for skilled Automobile Electrical Design Engineer specializing in wiring looms design to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing vehicle electrical wiring harness systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The candidate should be a Graduate in Electrical/Automobile Engineering/similar fields, having an experience of 3 to 6 years experience and should have worked in a single project for atleast 3 years. He/She should be proficient in Wiring Harness Design Tools like CATIA (EHI) / Capital Harness / Zuken E3 / Auto CAD Electrical and should have knowledge in Electrical Wiring Harness manufacturing processes and material selection.

Develop wiring looms (harnesses) and electrical distribution systems for automobiles. Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and 3D routing models using CAD tools. Select appropriate connectors, terminals, fuses, and cables based on system requirements. Perform electrical load analysis and voltage drop calculations for wiring systems. Ensure compliance with automotive EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) standards. Conduct DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for wiring designs. Work closely with vehicle architecture, powertrain, body electronics, and infotainment teams. Generate BOMs (Bill of Materials), harness layouts, and technical documentation. Ensure compliance with ISO, SAE, and other automotive electrical standards. Provide technical support for manufacturing and assembly teams.   Preferred Skills Experience of 3 to 6 years in designing and development of wiring harness and electrical distribution systems in Automobiles Experience of a minimum of 3 years in handling a single project at a stretch.
