Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract Basis)

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist intermediate-level candidate (3-5 years experience) preferably in property management/real estate industry. This role would facilitate timely payments to vendors for services rendered to properties, while also adhering to budgetary constraints and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Receive, review, and process invoices from vendors and suppliers for goods and services provided to the property management company. Communicate effectively with vendors, internal departments, including property managers, accounting teams, and procurement staff, to facilitate smooth invoice processing and payment workflows. Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs through automation, software optimization, or procedural improvements. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or discrepancies in invoices, payments, or vendor accounts through effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors. Collaborate with the finance team to provide input and support for budgeting and forecasting activities by providing insights into accounts payable trends and expenses. Organize and maintain electronic and physical records of invoices, receipts, and payment transactions for auditing and reference purposes. Assisting with the preparation of expense reports and providing support to other departments or employees for expense-related inquiries or issues. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies governing accounts payable processes. This may include generating reports for management or external auditors to demonstrate compliance and provide insights into financial performance.

Essential Qualifications

3+ years of progressive accounting experience is preferred. (experience in Property Management/Real estate industry will be helpful but not mandatory).
Candidates should ideally showcase experience with the U.S. GAAP (General accounting and taxation).
