Linux System Administrator

Brief DescriptionJob description We are looking for a Linux administrator who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the infrastructure; also, to collaborate with other team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. You will become an integral part of the team, working closely with the developers, and solving every problem of the platform accordingly. Key Responsibilities:

Experience with AWS cloud services with an understanding of cost-effective and secure cloud practices.

Support installation, configuration, and basic optimization of MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring database security and performance.

Configure Apache and Nginx web servers, assisting in securing and optimizing server performance.

Identify and resolve dependency or compatibility issues in server environments quickly.

Create scripts in Bash or Python to streamline tasks and increase operational efficiency.

Assist in setting up monitoring systems like Nagios, Prometheus, or similar to ensure system stability and alert responsiveness.

Provide support in managing hosting environments for Python, PHP, and Node.js applications.

Assist in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins for reliable code deployments.

Provide support for daily IT tasks, including system maintenance, application support, security tools, and user documentation.

 Preferred SkillsPreferred Skills:

Foundational knowledge of AWS services and understanding of cloud-native architecture basics.

Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Apache, and Nginx for server administration.

Experience with Bash or Python scripting for task automation.

Understanding of server monitoring tools like Nagios and Prometheus.

Basics of Networking, DNS, and Essential protocols.

(Preferred) Experience or Knowledge in containerizing applications using Docker or Kubernetes.

A keen eye for troubleshooting and the ability to work independently and within a team.
