Senior System and Cloud Administrator

Brief DescriptionJob Description We are looking for a Senior System and Cloud Administrator who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the infrastructure; also, to collaborate with other team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. You will become an integral part of the team, working closely with the developers, and solving every problem of the platform accordingly. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Expertise with cloud providers, particularly AWS services, including EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, ECS, EFS, EKS, and CloudFront. Ability to design and manage secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Install, configure, and optimize MySQL and PostgreSQL databases in standalone and high-availability environments. Ensure database performance, security, and availability are in line with industry standards.

Configure, secure, and fine-tune Apache and Nginx web servers to optimize application performance and ensure high reliability.

Quickly diagnose and resolve dependency and compatibility issues to ensure minimal disruption to services.

Convert routine tasks into automated scripts using Bash or Python to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Implement and manage monitoring solutions like Nagios, Prometheus, or other monitoring systems to ensure high system availability and rapid response to alerts.

Expertly profile servers to identify performance bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

Experience with Docker for container management and Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized environments.

Manage the hosting environments for applications built in Python, PHP, Node.js, and other frameworks.

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab CI/CD, and Jenkins for efficient, consistent, and reliable code deployments.

Familiarity or Good to have experience or knowledge with server automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet to streamline deployments and configuration management.

Use Jira to manage project tasks and collaborate across teams effectively.

Provide support in daily IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, documentation, email systems, and internal tools support.

   Preferred SkillsPreferred Skills:

Proven experience with cloud services, specifically AWS, and expertise in cloud-native architecture and best practices.

Strong proficiency in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Apache, Nginx, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.

Demonstrated skill in automation, scripting (Bash, Python), and familiarity with server profiling and monitoring tools.

Knowledge of networking fundamentals, DNS administration, and protocols.

Strong understanding of CI/CD processes, version control (GitHub), and experience with GitLab and Jenkins.

Proficiency in using Jira and other project management tools.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

(Preferred) Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
