Tecnostac Systems offers comprehensive banking solutions for the cooperative sector, including the development of Co-Bank+®, a specialized core banking solution for SACCOs and Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) in Africa.

We are seeking functional experts to join our development team. We aim to strengthen our team with specialized professionals who can bring their expertise and innovative thinking to our dynamic projects.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Functional Specialist with over 10 years of experience in the financial domain and core banking product development. The ideal candidate will have a fair knowledge of underlying technologies that host core banking applications, modern technology trends, and the ability to understand and provide inputs in data migrations and integrations. This role also requires expertise in core banking application implementation and change management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the implementation and support of core banking applications.
  2. Provide functional expertise and inputs in data migrations and system integrations.
  3. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment of functional requirements with technical solutions.
  4. Oversee and manage change management processes related to core banking solutions.
  5. Stay updated with modern technology trends and ensure their application in core banking projects.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve complex functional issues related to core banking applications.
  7. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  8. Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to team members and clients on core banking applications.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the financial domain and core banking product development.
  2. Fair knowledge of underlying technologies that host core banking applications and modern technology trends.
  3. Proven ability to understand and provide inputs in data migrations and system integrations.
  4. Extensive experience in core banking application implementation and change management processes.
  5. Strong understanding of financial systems and core banking processes.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with SACCOs and Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) in Africa.
  2. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in the financial sector.
