Senior System Administrator

Brief DescriptionKey Responsibilities: •Monitor and administer data centres, storage solutions, and IT infrastructure. •Manage Enterprise SAN/NAS storage systems, specifically NetApp and EMC Isilon. •Administer backup solutions including Commvault and EMC Networker. •Perform daily monitoring and management of backup systems (tape libraries and cloud). •Oversee Windows Active Directory, including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, NTP, and PowerShell. •Configure and manage network switches (VLANs, L3 switches) using Cisco, Juniper, and Netgear technologies. •Leverage knowledge of Linux OS for advanced system administration. •Manage AWS and Azure cloud platforms, with experience in backup and deep archive solutions. •Administer virtualization technologies, such as Hyper-V and VMware. •Oversee data centre infrastructure including UPS, cooling systems, and IT-related electrical components. •Ensure timely updates, patches, and security for all systems and services. •Implement IT best practices and maintain accurate documentation.  Preferred SkillsDesired Skills & Competencies:

Strong expertise in Tier 1 storage products, including Dell EMC Isilon, NetApp, Commvault, and Networker. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on proactive system management. Hands-on experience in network administration and cloud technologies. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal) for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (a diploma is also acceptable). 5-6 years of experience in system administration, with a strong track record of managing complex IT environments. Preference will be given to candidates currently based in Kerala.
