Business Analyst

Brief Description We are a group company spanning across 4 continents with our core product being Insurance services, in addition to our primary offerings of insurance, risk management, reinsurance, and underwriting, our group firms also engage in venture capital, Insurtech, Fintech, and Environmental and Social Governance sectors. 

The responsibilities of the Business Analyst include overseeing software projects from start to finish, managing and motivating software developers and other team members and writing project proposals. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

Discussing potential projects and their parameters with clients, executives, and software developers. 

Performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing 

Define configuration specifications and business analysis requirements 

Help design, document and maintain system processes 

Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to product team 

Communicate key insights and findings to product team 

Planning out the blueprints for software projects, including defining the scope, allocating resources, setting deadlines, laying out communication strategies, and indicating tests and maintenance. 

Participating in and supervising each stage of the project. 

Ensuring each project stays on schedule and adheres to the deadlines. 

Determining and overseeing consistent testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of all products in all stages of completion. 

Serving as a liaison to communicate information regarding changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information. 

Delivering completed software products to clients and performing regular checks on the products' performance. 

Preferred Skills

A bachelor's degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field. 

5-8 years experience

Good working knowledge of project estimation techniques. 

Excellent technical knowledge. 

Good leadership, decision-making, and organization skills. 

Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. 

Possess a high-level understanding of computer programming languages both Frontend & Backend. 

Proven experience in project management and software development. 

Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing 

Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools 

Solid experience in writing SQL queries 

Basic knowledge in generating process documentation 

Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
