Senior Site Reliability Engineer

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining our infrastructure automation using Ansible. This role requires a strong background in system administration and extensive experience in creating and managing Ansible playbooks. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automation and configuration management, coupled with excellent problem-solving and programming skills in Ansible.

Desired Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 5+ years of experience in system administration. At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible, including excellent programming skills in Ansible. Strong experience with Linux/Unix system administration. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus. Experience with CI/CD tools and processes is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Roles and Responsibilities

Manage and maintain existing Ansible playbooks to ensure efficient and reliable automation of system administration tasks. Design, develop, and implement new Ansible playbooks to automate various operational processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Ansible playbooks and automated processes. Monitor system performance and reliability, and proactively identify and address potential issues. Mentor and guide junior team members in the best practices of Ansible and system administration. Ensure the security, stability, and scalability of infrastructure through effective automation and configuration management. Continuously improve and refine Ansible playbooks to enhance efficiency and reliability. Administer and automate network appliances, including firewalls, switches, and other network devices using Ansible. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in Ansible, automation technologies, and network appliance administration.
