DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS services and other tools.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, TerraGrunt.

Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and security.

Collaborate with development teams to understand their needs and provide the necessary infrastructure support.

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in a timely manner.

Ensure compliance with security best practices and policies.

Stay up to date with the latest AWS services, tools, and best practices.

Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents as needed.

Essential Qualifications

5+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.

Strong expertise in AWS services such as EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, Dynamo, ElastiCache, IAM, and others.

Experience with CI/CD & GitOps tools such as AWS CodePipeline, BitBucket Pipeline, and ArgoCD.

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, and CloudFormation.

Experience in building common modules/capabilities using IaC for engineers’ infrastructure deployment.

Proficiency in AWS Identity and Access Management.

Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes and Service Mesh like Istio.

Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in the cloud.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or AWS CloudWatch.

Preferred Qualification

AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.

Worked in observability platform setup like ELK, OpenSearch is a plus.

Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps culture.

Familiarity with other cloud providers (e.g., Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments.
