Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Counsel to join our dynamic in-house legal team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support and advice to various departments within the company, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. The role will report to the Assistant General Counsel based in Singapore. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide professional advice and timely support to business teams on a wide range of legal and compliance topics in India, including contractual matters, employment matters, data privacy compliance, Intellectual Property protection, and regulatory compliance. • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and other legal documents, including client agreements, vendor agreements, policies and any other contractual arrangements. • Implement corporate governance and corporate policies to promote risk management best practice. • Contract management and tracking. Actively manage deal process and execution. • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices. • Manage disputes, claims and litigations to protect the company’s interest. • Manage external legal counsels in India for outsourced legal matters. • Integrate into Office of General Counsel and perform other duties across countries within Asia Pacific or global projects as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 3 – 6 years corporate legal experience, preferably at a law firm and prior in-house experience. • Bachelors in Law and above from a reputed institution. • Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance in India. • Strong command on verbal and written English language. • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Able to work under pressure and accommodate multiple time zones. • Able to work independently and as part of a team. • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
