Job Title: Junior DevOps EngineerLocation: Technopark Phase 1, TrivandrumShift: Rotational Night Shifts (Required)Experience: 6 months Role Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Trivandrum. The primary focus of this role is the management and orchestration of Kubernetes and Docker environments.Beyond standard deployments, you will incorporate Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to ensure our systems are highly available and performant. This role is ideal for a Linux enthusiast who excels at Bash scripting and is eager to manage cloud infrastructure, primarily on Azure. Key Responsibilities Core DevOps & Cloud

Primary Requirement: Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker. Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and maintain resources primarily on Azure (preferred) or AWS. Automation: Write robust Bash and Python scripts to automate infrastructure tasks and system configurations. Web & CI/CD: Configure and optimize Apache web servers and support automated CI/CD pipelines. Networking: Troubleshoot and manage cloud networking components (DNS, Load Balancers, VNETs/VPCs).

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Focus

System Reliability: Monitor health and performance using Prometheus and Grafana to ensure 24/7 uptime. Incident Response: Act as a first responder for system alerts, performing initial troubleshooting and escalation for production issues. Toil Management: Identify and automate repetitive manual tasks to improve system efficiency and stability. Observability: Assist in creating dashboards and alerts that provide deep visibility into application health.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Linux: Deep knowledge of Linux fundamentals (kernel basics, file systems, permissions, and CLI) is a must. Containerization: Strong hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes (Top Priority) and Docker. Scripting: Proficiency in Bash scripting is mandatory; Python is highly preferred. Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, subnets, and cloud-native networking. Experience: 6 months of relevant experience or intensive internship/training in Cloud/DevOps.

Preferred Certifications & Skills

Certifications: Basic cloud certifications are a plus (e.g., Azure Fundamentals AZ-900 or AWS Cloud Practitioner). Infrastructure as Code: Knowledge of Terraform is optional.

Shift Requirements

This role requires working in rotational night shifts to ensure continuous global support and infrastructure reliability.
