Brief DescriptionIndian Institute of Information Technology and Management – Kerala (IIITM-K), on behalf of Atal Grand Challenge and ESDM Maker Village, invites applications from motivated and aspiring candidates for a six-month unpaid internship in the areas of VLSI, Electronics, and System Design. This internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to cutting-edge research, product development, and innovation ecosystems in electronics and information technology, while fostering entrepreneurship and advanced technical skills. Internship Duration ● 6 Months ● Unpaid ● Full-time / Part-time (as per project requirements and mutual agreement) Areas of Work Interns may be engaged in one or more of the following domains: ● VLSI Design and Verification ● Analog and Digital Electronics ● Embedded Systems and System Design ● Semiconductor Devices and ESDM Technologies ● FPGA/ASIC Design Flows ● Hardware–Software Co-design ● Research, Prototyping, and Proof-of-Concept Development Eligibility / Qualifications Applicants must possess or be pursuing one of the following qualifications in VLSI, Electronics, System Design, or related disciplines: ● B.Sc / B.Tech ● M.Sc / M.Tech ● Ph.D. (Completed or Ongoing) Desired Skills ● Fundamental knowledge of electronics and system-level design ● Familiarity with VLSI tools, simulation software, or embedded platforms (preferred) ● Interest in research, innovation, and technology development ● Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative research environment Learning Outcomes ● Exposure to real-world R&D and innovation-driven projects ● Opportunity to work with experienced researchers, engineers, and startups ● Hands-on experience in advanced electronics and system design ● Certificate of Internship upon successful completion Important Notes ● This internship is unpaid and intended purely for academic, research, and skill development purposes. ● No accommodation or stipend will be provided by the institute. ● Interns are expected to adhere to institute's policies and project confidentiality norms.Preferred SkillsDesired Skills ● Fundamental knowledge of electronics and system-level design ● Familiarity with VLSI tools, simulation software, or embedded platforms (preferred) ● Interest in research, innovation, and technology development ● Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative research environment
