Storage and Backup Specialist

Brief Description1. Manage and support enterprise storage systems such as Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), HP Xp8, and other storage platforms. 2. Administer storage arrays, configure SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage), and manage provisioning tasks 3. Perform regular capacity planning and manage storage growth. 4. Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues. 5. Manage backup systems using Commvault software and other enterprise backup solutions. 6. Automate and schedule backup processes, ensuring that all critical data is backed up according to the organization's retention 7. Maintain comprehensive documentation of storage and backup configurations, architectures, and recovery procedures. 8. Work closely with system administrators, network engineers, and other IT teams to ensure the seamless integration of storage and backup solutions. 9. - Manage and administer backup Tape Library from Quantum, HPEPreferred Skills1. Expertise in enterprise storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS) and familiarity with Hitachi, HP, and other storage platforms. 2. Strong experience with backup and recovery solutions, especially Commvault 3. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and knowledge of scripting or automation tools to manage storage and backup tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Python). 4. Experience with data migration and disaster recovery solutions. 5. Education: B.E/B.Tech/MCA with minimum 3 years of experience in storage and backup policies administration with OEM or relevant. 6. Flexibility to work in 24×7 rotational shifts are required.
