Address : Lean transition Solutions , Periyar Building , Technopark Phase1, Trivandrum About the Role We are looking for a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer (Fresher) to join our support team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Linux system administration, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins. You will work closely with DevOps engineer and developers to automate, monitor, and maintain our development and production environments. Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing and deploying infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.) Build, test, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins Develop and manage Docker containers and docker compose setup Perform Linux system administration tasks such as package management, user management, and troubleshooting Support developers with environment setup and application deployments Manage Git repositories and maintain proper version control practices Help with web hosting, domain configuration, and SSL management Monitor system performance, logs, and network usage to ensure uptime and reliability Collaborate with the DevOps team to implement automation and best practices Document processes and configurations for knowledge sharing and future reference Manage internal on-premise servers, workstations, and internal IT systems Perform basic hardware/software troubleshooting for internal devices Preferred SkillsExperience: Freshers Required Skills & Qualifications
Solid understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, etc.) Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications Good knowledge of Linux administration (preferably Red Hat / CentOS / Ubuntu) Experience with Git version control Basic experience or knowledge of Jenkins for CI/CD automation Familiarity with web hosting, domains, and server configurations Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Basic understanding of on-prem server/workstation management and troubleshooting Basic understanding of Security concepts such as integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines, dependency scanning. Familiarity with security best practices for cloud infrastructure (IAM policies, security groups, vulnerability scanning, secrets management).
Preferred / Advantageous Qualifications
RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) certification or AWS certification Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, etc.) Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Grafana etc.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
